Terms of use
Last updated 2026-10-19
These terms apply when you use MyBucks, provided by The operator of this MyBucks service. By creating an account you agree to them.
What MyBucks is
MyBucks is a personal record-keeping and calculation tool. It organises financial information you give it, works out estimates (for example tax figures, pension projections and debt repayment scenarios) and shows them to you.
What MyBucks is not
- Not financial advice. MyBucks and its assistant don't give personal recommendations to buy, sell or hold investments, pensions, mortgages, insurance or other financial products. For advice, use a firm authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (check the FCA Register).
- Not debt advice. The debt plan is a calculator that shows what different repayment orders could mean if your figures are right. It doesn't tell you which debts you should pay or how to deal with lenders. If you're worried about debt, free and confidential help is available from MoneyHelper, StepChange, National Debtline and Citizens Advice.
- Not tax advice or a tax return. Figures are estimates to help you prepare your own Self Assessment. You're responsible for what you file with HMRC. For complex situations use HMRC guidance or a qualified adviser. The tax planner shows what choices such as salary sacrifice, pension payments or Gift Aid would do to your figures and whether childcare and Child Benefit tests would be met. It doesn't say what you should do, and what you tell HMRC or your childcare account is your own declaration.
- Not a bank or payment service. MyBucks can't move money and never holds funds.
Your account
- You must be 18 or over and give accurate information.
- Keep your password secret and don't share your account. Tell us if you think someone else has used it.
- Only add data about yourself, or that you're allowed to share.
- Keys you connect must be your own and used within that provider's terms.
Accuracy
We work to make calculations correct, but they depend on the data you provide or import, provider data can be incomplete, and rules change. Check important figures before relying on them. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Acceptable use
Don't try to access other people's data, overload or probe the service, or use the assistant for anything other than your own finances and UK tax.
Ending your account
You can delete your account and all its data at any time from Settings. We may suspend accounts that break these terms or put the service at risk. See the privacy notice for how your data is handled.
Changes
If these terms change materially we'll ask you to accept the new version next time you sign in.
